makes me wonder

other news from the home front. i no longer have a car. spring break claimed it as its own. sad. i am now one of the weirdos on the bus. say word.

i'm looking at the bright side though. the man can't take my freaky dee's cheese fries away from me. i'll always have those.



i leave for costa rica this sunday. i'm giddy and anxious to leave. i'm giddy because i'll be in tropical weather and it snowed here today. i'm anxious because i don't speak spanish and nicole could be held up in customs coming back from nicaragua. if that happens, i will have to get my way to where i'm staying all by my lonesome. wonderful nicole has left me with my spanish phrases to use and all the info i could possibly need so i should be alright if i do have to do this. however, once that ordeal is over, nothing but this to look forward to...


this is the actual beach outside the hotel i'm staying at. 160 dollars for the entire week to live on the carribbean? sign me up.

here are a few things i designed lately that i am fairly proud of...
























-icon + quote assignment
we were supposed to take an icon (bunny) that we had manipulated in some sort of way in our previous assignment (the skeleton) and added an attributable quote that could change the meaning of the icon or add to it in some way. my idea was that we are all the same inside, hence the skeleton being the same in the lion and rabbit, representing the king and the pawn respectively.




















-word power assignment
with our wordpower assignment, we were to just take a word and add something to it to give it that second or third meaning. keeping it simple and funny usually worked the best in getting reactions from people.




















-animal logo assignment
the animal logo assignment was exactly what it sounds like. we had to design an animal that could be used in some sort of logo. we had to take a bunch of things into account, such as being able to keep its features from disappearing while shrunk, and still being able to work while blown up. my whale that i posted earlier was my best, but i still love this pigeon. it's fun.

i designed this whale for a class this semester. i love it. some people feel that they've seen it before though. the paul frank whale was one possiblity, but i don't see any similarity besides that they're both whales. anywho, lemme know what you think via the comments. 'twould be much appreciamated.
