WE LANDED ON THE MOON!!!
i ran into a couple cool things.
first, this designer from richmond, noah scalin, is creating a different skull each day for 365 days. that might have been a run-on sentence. here's his blog. i really love the stencil (which i downloaded and plan to use) and the turnip skull.
i hate turnips though.
i also asked my friends at bayside high school to help me out with this next item of business.
"i'm so excited! but so scared!"
oh jess. they're just caffeine pills.

ahoy!
here are some sweet things i came across today while perusing the old interwebs.
there was a poster contest. they had different categories. aids, environmental damage, under development, war, and human rights violations. they just announced the winners. here are some of my favorites from the winners:
you can check out the rests of the winners here. i find it cool that a lot of the best "peace" posters are from iran. say word, son.

i love gingerale.
i do things. i would like to share some of these things, so that you, in turn, might be able to do these things. you're welcome.
listen to:
loudon wainwright III
this is his first album from 1970. he has definitely flown under the radar. his later songs are different, but he is spectacular nonetheless.
dizzee rascal
he's a rapper from the UK. weird. this album is less abstract than his earlier work, and he gets it right, i think.
feist
she's in broken social scene, and now solo. i love this album. listen to "1234" and try not to smile.
circa survive
the band's second album is now a mainstay in my regular rotation. anthony green's voice is off the hook, dogg. word.
capleton
i love reggae as of lately, and this is my favorite album of that genre right now. it's an earlier work of his, and a bit hard to find, but worth it. my favorite track is "gwaan fight dem." the track has sweet sweet horns and an almost latin feel.
beastie boys
this is their newest ablum. "the mix up" comes out june 26 and is entirely instrumental. hootenanny! i really like it. it works and flows incredibly well.
novi split
great album. i say great alot. seriously though. just listen to the cover of "crazy in love" by beyonce. way better.
read:
i'm only half way through right now, but i love it. hilarious. larry doyle used to write for "the simpsons."
watch:
not only was this movie hilarious, it was a good movie. guys and girls can love this movie together. well worth the money, if even just for all the beard and hair jokes. you'll see what i mean.
ok, that's it. yay!
